Homeview and Sterling Downs Belmont Homes and Neighborhood Guide
Also known as Homeview, Sterling Downs
Belmont neighborhood guide
Homeview and Sterling Downs make up the flat eastern side of Belmont, between El Camino Real and Highway 101. Sterling Downs lies north of Ralston Avenue in the city's northeast corner, and Homeview lies south of Ralston, on the level ground that runs toward Old County Road.
Both grew up around the mid twentieth century as neighborhoods of small, orderly lots. Homeview has an active neighborhood association that tends community gardens at O'Donnell Park and organizes events such as a long running evening Halloween parade and National Night Out.
Along O'Neill Avenue, Homeview borders the Harbor Industrial Area, a pocket of unincorporated San Mateo County land with industrial and commercial uses that the residential streets screen with fences and plantings.
