Ventura Homes and Neighborhood Guide
Palo Alto neighborhood guide
Ventura is a mix of older and newer single family homes, apartments and multifamily housing on narrow streets and small lots, between Oregon Expressway, Alma Street, West Meadow Drive and El Camino Real.
Boulware Park and the Ventura Community Center sit in the neighborhood, near the former Fry's site on Portage Avenue, once the 1918 Bayside Canning Company, which the city has been planning to redevelop. California Avenue is a short walk north.

Homes and Streets
Ventura has some of Palo Alto's smallest lots and most varied housing, from 1920s cottages and 1950s ranches to apartment buildings and townhomes. That variety makes it a relative value within the city, and the planned redevelopment of the Fry's site may bring new homes, parks and shops to the neighborhood in the coming years.
