Rancho Homes and Neighborhood Guide

Los Altos neighborhood guide

Rancho is a neighborhood of single story ranch homes, mostly on quarter acre lots, around the Rancho Shopping Center, which opened in 1951 with 30 shops at Foothill Expressway and Springer Road.

The shopping center is still the neighborhood's living room, with a grocery store, restaurants and services, and Grant Park and Rosita Park are nearby. Springer Elementary is in the neighborhood, and Foothill Expressway makes downtown and Interstate 280 quick trips.

Homes and Streets

Rancho is classic Los Altos: low slung ranch homes on flat quarter acre lots with mature trees, many thoughtfully expanded, and newer two story homes appearing each year. The walk to the shopping center and to Springer School is the draw, and the lots give room to grow.
