Triple El Homes and Neighborhood Guide

Palo Alto neighborhood guide

Triple El is a 1955 subdivision of about 68 homes, mostly single story Eichlers, named for Elsinore Drive, Elsinore Court and El Cajon Way between North California Avenue and Oregon Expressway. It is one of the smallest named neighborhoods in Palo Alto.

A single story overlay protects the low rooflines, and a row of Chinese elms planted when the tract was built still shades the street. Greene Middle School and the Palo Alto Baylands are close, and Midtown shops are a short drive down Middlefield Road.

Homes and Streets

The single story overlay keeps the look of the tract intact, so remodels here expand outward or open up interiors rather than adding second floors. The Eichler plans feature atriums, glass walls and post and beam ceilings, and the neighborhood's small size means homes come up for sale only occasionally.
